Make a useful oval garden basket - Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th July, Foxt Village Hall, 9.30 til 5pm £200
Foxt Village Hall ST10 2HN, Please arrive at 9.15 for a 9.30 start.
Make a large oval basket with a handle suitable for using in the garden or for foraging. Or you can adapt this to make a smaller base and taller sides for a shopping style basket. Using some of my home grown willows to add colour. Suitable for early makers who have made a round basket before and for intermediates who want to learn new weaves and new skills.
You will learn how to make an oval base, choose stakes and stake up, then learn different weaves to make the main body of the basket and then weave a border at the top to hold it all together. We will then add handles and wrap them for extra strength.
You will be using home grown, colourful willows from my willow bed and some Somerset willow.
I will provide drinks and nice biscuits for the course duration. Let me know if you have any dietary restrictions such as dairy or gluten free. You will also need to bring some lunch and any other food you may want as well as your own mug.
You can cancel your booking to a different course up to 4 weeks before the course date. You can move to another course up to 7 days before the course starts. If you cancel your course less than 7 days before the course date I am afraid I cannot return your money, or transfer you to another course, unless I can fill your place.
