Rachel Evans is a basketmaker and a willow artist based in Oakamoor, Staffordshire.
She set up her business Wheatcroftwillow in April 2008 to deliver willow and environmental
art projects to community groups, schools, youth groups and individuals. She can;
•
Deliver workshops in willow arts and crafts and environmental arts and crafts to
community groups and school groups.
• Work to commission to deliver large willow projects
or basketry projects.
• Design and construct large living willow structures either
working alone or with community groups or schools.
• Deliver courses in willow crafts.
Rachel
is based in Staffordshire, but will travel to surrounding counties, Derbyshire, Black
Country, Cheshire, Shropshire, Warwickshire. The materials she uses are sourced from
Staffordshire wherever possible and always from the UK.
Rachel Evans has over 15 years experience of working with community groups , schools
and youth groups in the outdoors and on environmental issues. She is fully CRB checked,
holds a First Aid at Work certificate, conducts risk assessments for all activities
and is insured for public liability up to £5 million.
